Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: BMI with overweight to grade 1 Waist hip ratio (WHR) from 0.81 to 1.0 and above, respectively for females and males. Participants with or without controlled co-morbid conditions such as dyslipidaemia, hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus (excluding patient taking metformin

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant and lactating women. Participants with BMI more than 35. Participants with known endocrinological disorders such as hyper or hypothyroidism, Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. Participants with a history of major depressive or other severe psychiatric disorders or an eating disorder judged by frequency and quantity of food. Participants with current or past one month usage of Ayurvedic medications dietary supplements causing weight gain or loss. Participants having severe cardiac disorders, HIV infection, malignancy. Participants who have undergone obesity related surgeries like bariatric, gastric bypass etc.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Reduction in weight, Reduction in Body fat percentage, Reduction in BMI, Reduction in Abdominal girth & Waist-Hip ratio. Timepoint: baseline ,15th,30th,45th,60th, 75th,90th day follow up.

Secondary
