Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients requiring uniocular horizontal strabismus surgical correction involving a tightening procedure on the recti.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) [patients less than 5 years of age] 2) patients/ parents not willing to give consent 3) patients with incomitant strabismus 4) patients with nystagmus 5) Patients requiring oblique/vertical muscle surgery 6)patients with vision less than 6/60 7) patients with media opacity/ intra-operative corneal epithelial defect 8) patients with history of squint surgery 9) patients with fundal pathology
