Intervention1: Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy: MRI PDFF will be done one week prior to surgery and 3 months after Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Morbidly obese individuals with BMI more than 37.5; Morbidly obese individuals with BMI more than 32.5 with comorbidities like diabetes mellitus, hypertension, obstructive sleep apnea, non alcoholic fatty liver, hyperlipidemia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients having 1. Patients who underwent previous bariatric surgery 2. Any patient with contraindication for MRI 3. Diagnosed case of chronic liver disease. 4. Hepatotoxic medications.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Change in percentage hepatic fat fraction and proportion of patients of NAFLD shifting to low grade on MRI-PDFF 3 months after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy.Timepoint: One week prior to surgery and 3 months after surgery

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Change in the serum level of Adiponectin, leptin, soluble leptin receptors before and 3months after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy in patients of morbid obesity. 2. Correlation between changes in percentage hepatic fat fraction on MRI with change in serum level of Adiponectin, Leptin, soluble leptin receptors before and 3 months after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. 3. Correlation between percentage hepatic fat fraction on MRI-PDFF with percentage excess weight loss 3 months after Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy.Timepoint: Before and 3 months after surgery
