Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: all patients undergoing elective surgery under general anesthesia with asa physical score 3 or less with BMI less than 30 are included

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patients with identified difficult airway and with risk of aspiration are excluded

use of ultrasound measured tongue thickness as predictor of difficult mask ventilationTimepoint: Tongue Thickness is measured using ultrasound preoperatively and compared with difficulty in mask ventilation immediately after induction with general anaesthesia
