Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA I/II patients of age = 60 years undergoing surgery using spinal anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with known cardiac abnormalities, Use of Mono Amine Oxidase inhibitor, Patients with known allergy to the study drugs, Patients with contraindications for SAB, Patient refusal for consent

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. To compare the number of episodes of hypotension and the time of the first episode of hypotension 2. To compare the intraoperative use of norepinephrine, phenylephrine, ephedrine, atropine and fluids 3. To compare the changes in the Flow time corrected (FTc) (preoperative, 5min after spinal anesthesia, and immediately after surgery in PACU) 4. To compare the episodes of reactive hypertension and postoperative complications within first 24hrs. Timepoint: first 24 hours postoperatively
