Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Cardiac patients of either sex undergoing elective cardiac surgeries, cath lab procedures and interventional radiology procedures

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Refusal to give consent, known allergy to local anaesthetics ,pregnancy, anticipated difficult airway, patients with preoperative sore throat, oro-pharyngeal infection, chronic cough, COPD, surgeries in prone position
