Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children with deep dentinal carious deciduous teeth with no symptoms, signs and radiographic findings pertained to irreversible pulpitis( abscess, fistula, sinus) were selected.

a study is planned to evaluate and compare the antimicrobial effectiveness of Liquorice (Mulethi) and Chlorhexidine (1%) gel in children aged 5 to 9 years old as cavity disinfectants.Timepoint: Liquorice (Mulethi) and Chlorhexidine (1%) gel in children and normal saline are applied as baseline and 1 minute after application the samples will be taken.

1. To evaluate & comparison of the antimicrobial efficiency of pre & post-application of liquorice as cavity disinfectant. 2. To evaluate & comparison of the antimicrobial efficiency of pre & post-application of chlorhexidine (1%) gel as cavity disinfectant. 3. To evaluate & comparison of the antimicrobial efficiency of post-liquorice & post-chlorhexidine (1%) gel as cavity disinfectant. 4. To evaluate & comparison of the antimicrobial efficiency of post-liquorice & post-chlorhexidine (1%) gel with saline (control) as cavity disinfectants. Timepoint: liquorice, chlorhexidine gel & normal saline samples will be taken at baseline & 1 minute after application of agents
