Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children in the age group 6 -18 years with visually significant unilateral or bilateral congenital/developmental cataracts. Controls will be age-matched phakic healthy children

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Microcornea /Microphthalmia 2. Preoperative glaucoma 3. Ocular trauma 4. Chronic anterior uveitis 5. Previous ocular surgeries 6. Anterior segment dysgenesis 7. Posterior segment pathologies like RD, PHPV, coloboma 8. Subluxated lens /ectopia lentis 9. Children uncooperative for ASOCT examination

AS-OCT (CASIA2; Tomey, Nagoya, Japan) based measurement of AOD500 (Angle Opening Distance at 500 microns) and TIA500 (Trabecular iris angle at 500 microns) in healthy controls & children with pediatric cataract pre & post-operatively. Timepoint: 3 months
