Inclusion criteria: 1) Diagnosis of metabolic syndrome is based on NCEP ATP III criteria for Asian population. 2) willing participants

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Pregnant women 2) Chronic kidney disease 3) Alcohol consumption 4) Steven Johnson syndrome 5) Malabsorption syndrome 6) Active infectious disease during screening
