Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients scheduled for elective surgery under general anaesthesia and mechanical ventilation in supine position. 2. Age less than 18 years. 3. American Society of Anaesthesiologists grade I and II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing eye surgery. 2. Patients with cerebrovascular diseases or abnormal ICP. 3. Patients undergoing laparoscopic or thoracoscopic surgery. 4. Chronic respiratory, heart or kidney disease. 5. Patients with allergic reaction to ultrasound gels.
