Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patient having sperm count less than 15 million per ml. 2.Patients of 26 years to 45 years age irrespective of religion, socio-economic status and occupation. 3.Patients those fit for Uttara Basti Karma. 4.Patients with BMI range 18.5 kg/m2 to 24.9 kg/m2 . 5.Patients who have given written consent to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patient’s age below 26 years and above 45 years. 2.Patients with azoospermia and aspermia. 3.Patients having other systemic pathology like Tuberculosis, Renal failure, Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, severe urinary tract infections, Nephrolithiasis, Urethral stricture and Medico Renal Diseases (MRD) or malignancy of urogenital system etc. 4.Patients associated with other endocrine diseases. 5.Patients having any genital infection or any congenital deformity of urogenital tract. 6.Patient’s BMI 24.9 Kg/ m2. 7.Patients who are not willing to sign written consent to participate in the study.

It is expected that at the end of the study we would be able to demonstrate the effect of Sapta Prastha Ghrit Uttar Basti along with Kapikachhu beeja Churna in the management of kheenashukra w.s.r. oligospermia.Timepoint: 12 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is further expected that this study would be able to provide conclusive inputs to assess the efficacy of the Ayurvedic management of oligospermia.Timepoint: 11 months
