Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with ASA grade I and II 2. Patients in the age group of 18-50 years, of either sex. 3. Patients undergoing lower abdominal surgeries.

To evaluate the onset and duration of sensory and motor block using dexmedetomidine (10mcgs) and fentanyl (25mcgs) as an adjuvant to 0.5% Bupivacaine in subarachoid block for lower abdominal surgeries.Timepoint: 18 months

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the onset & duration of sensory & motor block. To observe hemodynamic changes (SBP, DBP, MAP, HR, Sp02). To assess post operative analgesia using visual analogue score (VAS score) To assess adverse effect of dexmedetomidine or fentanyl given intrathecally with hyperbaric 0.5% BupivacaineTimepoint: 18 months
