Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Patient giving consent to participate in study 2 Age between 60-80 years 3 Weight between 50-80 kg 4 ASA grade I and II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Patients not giving consent to participate in the study. 2 ASA grade III and IV 3 Patients with respiratory, cardiovascular, renal diseases, obesity and pregnancy. 4 Age below 80 years. 5 Weight below

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Prophylactic intramuscular glycopyrrolate significantly reduced the incidence of hypotension during spinal anesthesia when compared with the control group.Timepoint: 15 minutes before induction of spinal anaesthesia till completion of surgery

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Intramuscular route is safer than intravenous route as abrupt tachycardia is not associated with it.Timepoint: 15 minutes before induction of spinal anaesthesia till completion of surgery
