Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients above the age of 18, who are diagnosed with cholelithiasis, and are willing to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients under 18 years of age. Patients who are not willing to participate in the study. Patients on/or previously on Thyroxine medications. Patients on/or previously on anti thyroid medications. Patients on Anti-lipidemic drugs. Patients with diagnosed liver disorders. Patients who had underwent cholecystectomy or total thyroidectomy.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To analyze whether thyroid dysfunction may be contributing cause for gallstone diseaseTimepoint: next day morning fasting thyroid function test from day or admission or OPD contact.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To analyze whether thyroid dysfunction may be contributing cause for gallstone diseaseTimepoint: 1 day after OPD contact or admission.
