Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Mandibular first and second molars with a diagnosis of pulpal necrosis (confirmed by negative cold test and EPT) and symptomatic apical periodontitis having periapical index score >= 3.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Antibiotic usage within the last month or anti-inflammatory therapy 2. Patients with uncontrolled Systemic disorders, pregnancy and lactation. 3. Canal curvature more than 20 degrees (Schneiderâ??s method). 4. Anatomical complexities such as C shaped canals, taurodont, entomolaris 5. Traumatic occlusion. 6. Calcified canals and root resorption. 7. Periodontally compromised teeth or sinus tracts. 8. Severe crown destruction preventing rubber dam application.
