Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult patients (more than or equal to 18 years), BMI of 18.5 to 34.9kg/m2 a definitive diagnosis of Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes for 2 or more years, controlled on medical management and undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1)Patients with random blood glucose >200mg/dl 2)ASA >3 3) Pregnant patients 4) Patients with cardiac, renal or thyroid dysfunction 5) Patients with digestive system diseases like gastroesophageal reflux, peptic ulcer or with any previous upper gastrointestinal surgery 6) Patients on drugs which affect gastrointestinal motility 7) Patients with anticipated difficult airways
