Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing elective surgeries under general anaesthesia with endotracheal tube intubation ASA status 1 and 2 BMI between 18.5 AND 29.5
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Copd, Restrictive lung disease Hypertensives NYHA Grade 3 AND 4, Patients on beta blockers Asthmatics, Renal Dysfunction Liver Dysfunction History of allergy to study drug and patient refusal

| Cough assessed with the smoothness of extubation will be graded as follows: Grade 1 : No cough or mild cough only during removal of ETT Grade 2 : Coughing while breathing regularly Grade 3 : Coughing before regular breathing is established.
