Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All the patients undergoing surgical procedure with no previous systemic hypertension Age > 18years ASA 1-3
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Known hypertensive on medications, Undiagnosed Hypertensives (High BP reading in the PAC) , Patients on Diuretics, Patients with acute pain, Preoperatively diagnosed anxiety disorder , Emergency surgery, Chronic Renal Failure , Patient refusal , ASA-4,5 .

To measure Blood pressure in the ward on previous day and at the holding bay and in the operation room on the day of surgery to assess the incidence. | — |

To compare the incidence of Perioperative complications among those with PAH and the others. d.To assess the incidence of sustained hypertension after 1 month & 6 months Timepoint: To measure Blood pressure at recovery room immediately after surgery & in the ward after 24 hours of surgery to assess the perioperative acute complications. TO measure Blood pressure at 4 weeks & 24 weeks during follow up to assess the chronic post operative complications. | — |
