Intervention1: inj dexamethasone (1ml): inj dexamethasone 4mg (1ml)+ inj ropivacaine hydrochloride (0.25%) 15ml on each side given via transverse abdominis plane block to observe analgesia at 2hr, 4hr

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing elective abdominal hysterectomy under subarachnoid block. 2. Age: 30-60 years. 3. ASA(American society of anaesthesiology) physical status I and II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who does not give informed written consent. 2. History of allergy to study drug (ropivacaine) 3. patient on any form of analgesic therapy.
