Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Patient who consent to be part of study. • Above 18 years of age • Patient with type 2 diabetes and treatment under oral hypoglycaemics • Patients indicated for dental extraction

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1• Patients unable to give consent through physical or mental disability 2• Dento-alveolar infection in relation to the pertaining tooth to be extracted. 3• Type 1 diabetes and insulin dependent 4• Type 2 diabetes; HIV/AIDS; chemotherapy; systemic steroids; irradiation to the head and neck; bisphosphonates; anticoagulant and antiplatelet treatment; and major benign or malignant pathology within the jaws.
