Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of either sex with age between 18 to 65 years. 2. Known case of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) as per Rome IV criteria. 3. Pain is relieved by defecation. 4. Onset associated with change of frequency of stools. 5. Onset associated with change in form(appearance) of stools.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients suffering from any other major physical or mental illness. 2. patients not given written inform consent.
