Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: I. Patients of both sexes between 30 and 65 years of age with moderate To severe generalized periodontitis. Ii. Patients exhibiting atleast one intrabony defect with probing pocket Depth = 5mm, radiographic defect on iopa of = 3mm and two or three Walled defect in maxillary and mandibular posterior regions. Iii. Patients exhibiting clinical attachment loss (cal) = 4 mm. Iv. No history of intake of antibiotics or other medications affecting the Periodontium in preceding 6 months. V. Patient willing for surgery and ready to give written consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: I. Systemic illness known to affect the outcomes of periodontal therapy Ii. Smokers, pregnant/lactating patients & patients with malocclusion Were excluded. Iii. Teeth with endodontic (pulpal) involvement. Iv. Patient on medication such as corticosteroids and calcium channel Blockers.
