Intervention1: Ceftriaxone one day pre operatively and post operatively: Inj Ceftriaxone 1 gram + 100 cc NS iv 12 hourly Control Intervention1: Ceftriaxone for five days: Injection Ceftriaxone 1 gram

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with acute appendicitis of either gender undergoing laparoscopic appendicectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients coming for emergency appendicectomy due to perforated appendix / gangrenous appendix / appendicular abscess / appendicular mass / diffuse peritonitis. 2) Pregnant females
