Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Control group: Infertile women attending the infertility clinic for frozen embryo transfer cycles will be recruited for the study. Women aged 18-35 years with male factor infertility, normal BMI = 25kg/m2, regular menstrual cycles and no clinical signs of hyperandrogenism will be considered as control population. Obese group: Women aged 18-35 years with high BMI > 25kg/m2 and no clinical signs of hyperandrogenism will be considered under obese, non-PCOS group. PCOS group: Women aged 18-35 years diagnosed with PCOS based on the Rotterdam criteria and undergo ovary stimulation will be selected. In addition, women with Type 2 diabetes will be included in this study group. Diabetic group: For type 2 diabetes group, women attending infertility who are undergoing IVF/ICSI treatment aged 18-35 years diagnosed with type 2 diabetes will be identified using hospital patient will be included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Women with chronic cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, thyroid disease, and pulmonary disease will be excluded from the study. In addition, women using sex-steroids, women who had ovarian surgery in the past, women with premature ovarian failure and women who had chemotherapy in the past will be excluded.

MeasureTime frame
We will be able understand tolerance of the embryos when subjected vitrification thawing procedure under maternal metabolic conditions such as obesity, PCOS, diabetes.Timepoint: 3 years

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The study will help us to understand the impact of maternal metabolic conditions on vitrification and mitochondrial dynamics in oocytes and embryos. It will help us in turn customising vitrification thawing protocol for obese, diabetic, POCS subjects subjects.Timepoint: 3 years
