Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of age 45 to 70 years,either gender ,ASA physical status I &II undergoing elective lower abdominal surgeries under spinal anesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients having contraindications for spinal anaesthesia, with known allergy to study drugs,patients with BMI > 30kg/m2 ,patients having height less than 150 cm, patients ASA physical status III and more, patients having major cardiovascular , respiratory, renal ,hepatic ,metabolic ,neurological or endocrine diseases, receiving any opioid and patients requiring general anesthesia.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Duration of sensory block will be considered as primary outcome variableTimepoint: 10 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary outcome variables be onset and height of sensory block ,onset and duration of motor block, fall in heart rate and MAP and incidence of side effects like sedation, urinary retention ,nausea and vomiting Timepoint: 10 months
