Intervention1: Tablet Mirtazepine 30mg: Study participants will be Randomized into 2 groups. Group M will receive Tablet Mirtazepine 30mg 2hrs before surgery. Control Intervention1: Tablet Ondansetron

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing elective lower abdominal surgeries 2. Age 18 to 60 years of either sex 3. Treatment with sedative hypnotics

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with history of allergy to drug 2. Diabetes Mellitus, thyroid diseases, cardiopulmonary disease, psychological disorder, neurological deficit, liver diseases 3. Treatment with sedative hypnotics 4. Body temperature 38 degree Celsius 5. Local site infection 6. Spinal deformity 7. Bleeding tendencies- platelet count 14sec, INR >1.5
