Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA grade 1 and 2 overnight fasting of not less than 8 hrs Consented patients

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of any systemic disease Reflux oesophagitis, comorbidity linked to gastric motility like DM, Thyroid disease, Gastro intestinal pathologies, Gastro intestinal obstruction patients. Patients who are taking gastric prokinetics Non fasting Undergoing gastrointestinal surgeries

MeasureTime frame
To study the gastric emptying time for different quantity of oral fluids Timepoint: Baseline gastric volume, followed by every 30 min until baseline gastric volume attained

To determine appropriate preop fasting time for clear fluidsTimepoint: 1 year
