Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: a) adults with age > 18 years b) Patients getting admitted in medical emergency with sepsis, defined as ?Suspected or documented infection: patient having signs and symptoms of infection, such as fever, leucocytosis, or localising signs (e.g.: pneumonia, urinary tract infection, intraabdominal infection or skin and soft tissue infection). ? SOFA score of 2 or more
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: a) Pregnant females. b) Patients of cardiovascular disease who are already on statins. c) Patients with malignancy. d) Patients with liver failure. e) Patients with myopathy. f) Age g) Patients with trauma. h) Surgical patients.
