Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Parents of children of age group 1 month to 6 years hospitalized with fever >38?. Parents who speak English or Kannada.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those not consenting to participate. Children with fever of less than 1 month and above 6 years. Children with severe life threatening disease (PICU admissions) with fever admitted. Parents who do not speak English or Kannada.

MeasureTime frame
To assess the improvement in knowledge of fever, temperature measurement, identifying the danger signs and management of fever in parents of febrile children after intervention in intervention group. TO assess the improvement in knowledge of fever, temperature measurement, identifying the danger signs and management of fever in parents of febrile children post consultation in standard of care groupTimepoint: 3 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the improvement in knowledge score between intervention group & standard of care group.Timepoint: scoring of the questionnaire & assesment of the knowledge will be done immediately after intervention. Comparision of knowledge between intervention & standard of care group is done once sample size is completed which is after 16 weeks.
