The aim is to compare three medicines of which any one will be given to patient after surgery intraperitonealy to reduce pain , we shall then note pain level using a scoring method and their dose and time of administration.

Control Intervention1: Magnesium sulphate, bupivacaine and their combination: 30 ml of 0.25 % bupivacaine MgSO4 50 mg/kg in 30 ml of normal saline 15 ml of 0.25% bupivacaine + MgSO4 25 mg/kg in 15 ml

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of either sex of ASA (American Society of Anaesthesiologists) grade I and II of 18-65 years for undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients of ASA grade III, IV and V with presence of any psychiatric illness, heart disease, renal impairment and those with an allergy to any of the study drugs will be excluded from the study.

The ultimate vision is to improve post operative pain management to the point where pain after surgery can be prevented and managed most effectively.Timepoint: Postoperative pain will be assessed on arrival, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 6 hours and 24 hours.	—

To compare the time for first rescue analgesia and total consumption of the rescue analgesic tramadol during the first postoperative day with all the three modes as above.Timepoint: 1 year	—
