Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ? Participants with a diagnosis of Acquired hearing loss from 6 months to 1 year ago ? Participants with acquired hearing loss with a severity of above 50 dB ? Participants of both sexes (males and females) ? Participants with unilateral and bilateral hearing loss ? Participants who are from the age group of 18–60 years ? Minimum education of 7th standard or functional fluency in English, Hindi, or Kannada

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? Participants with congenital hearing loss ? Participants who are currently taking medications that may affect their cognitive or communication abilities ? Participants who have a medical condition or physical impairment (other than hearing loss) that may affect their ability to communicate effectively (e.g., stroke, traumatic brain injury, muscular dystrophy) ? Participants who are currently struggling with chronic debilitating diseases ? Participants who have comorbid conditions that may affect their communication abilities (e.g., aphasia) ? Participants who have any other visible or invisible (physical and/or sensory) disabilities, severe mental illness and psychiatric disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, cognitive impairments, and neurological impairments ? Participants with impairments who have received rehabilitation ? Participants who have faced intimate partner violence
