Intervention1: Encouraging Family involvement via Plan-Do-Study-Act cycles: Comprehensive Postnatal Counselling programme for Family members, Education and Sensitization of nurses through Focussed Gro

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Admitted Low birth weight (LBW) babies weighing participate in Kangaroo Care.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Neonates with severe congenital anomalies/ genetic disorders. 2) Neonates who are hemodynamically unstable.

Design outcomes

Primary

Measure	Time frame
Percentage(%) of involvement of family members in Kangaroo Care. Median duration of Kangaroo Care practiced during each phase of study will be calculated.Timepoint: Outcome data will be assessed at Baseline at 4 weeks/8 weeks and at discharge.	—

Secondary

Measure	Time frame
Maternal Stress levels using Maternal Postpartum stress scale(MPSS) will be evaluated.Timepoint: Parameters will be evaluated once during each admission, data will be assessed at baseline & after initiation of PDSA cycles, each cycle will be lasting upto 3 months	—
