Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children less than 12 years receiving epidural catheter for post operative analgesia. Willing tom consent for study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Not willing to consent.

MeasureTime frame
To study the incidence of epidural catheter migration in children undergoing surgical procedures.Timepoint: The primary objective ( to find out incidence of epidural catheter migration) will be assessed at the end of the study.—

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
• To study the various factors influencing the migration in paediatric surgical population like 1.Weight or BMI of the child 2.Level of insertion of the catheter 3.Size of the needle & the catheter 4.Depth of the epidural space 5.Length of the catheter in the epidural space 6.Tunnelling of the catheter 7.Type of dressing used. • To study the trend of migration – inward or outward • To study the resulting complications due to migration of the epidural catheter. Timepoint: On the day of catheter insertion On the day of catheter removal On the day of dressing change ( if required)—
