Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients admitted with diagnosis of CAP Age – 18 years and above

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals less than 18 years Pregnant women Patients with Hospital and Ventilator acquired pneumonia Patients with active tuberculosis, co-existing malignancy, pseudo hyponatremia, on drugs causing hyponatremia Patients with pre-existing cardiac failure, chronic kidney disease, chronic liver disease

MeasureTime frame
The results will be used to study the association of hyponatremia with severity of community acquired pneumonia(CAP) as assessed by CURB - 65 score PSI score ICU admission, length of hospital stay, ventilation and mortality Timepoint: At 12 months and 18 months of study, the results will be used to study the association of hyponatremia with severity of community acquired pneumonia(CAP)
