Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients between age of 18-45 years of both genders. Patients indicated for surgical removal of impacted mandibular third molar. Healthy patients falling under ASA I and ASA II Subjects willing to provide written informed consent and compliant with study procedure.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with mouth opening less than 30mm. Patient with allergy with NSAIDS. Patients having history of drug abuse. Patients having any systemic or local infection. Patient is under analgesics and anti-depressants. Having any blood coagulation impairment. Having previous history of radiation therapy in the head and neck region. Pregnant and nursing women. Patient with the history of smoking and alcohol. Soft tissue impactions. Presence of any acute oral infection. Patients who are immune-compromised or having immunodeficiency.

MeasureTime frame
Pain Facial swelling Trismus Timepoint: Postoperative assessments for pain, trismus and swelling will be performed on 1st, 3rd and 7th day

Wound healingTimepoint: wound healing assessment will be done on 1st , 3rd, 7th and 15th day postoperatively
