Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Newborns at or above 35 weeks gestation with the pre discharge TSB level placing the newborn in high intermediate and low intermediate risk zone parents or legal guardian who provide informed consent for their baby participation in the study the parents of the neonate are able to provide kangaroo mother care and fee the baby as per instructions of the neonatologists
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Newborns below 35 weeks gestation Newborns with contraindications to phototherapy Newborns with co morbidities other than hyperbilirubinemia Parents or legal guardians who do not provide informed consent for their baby participation in the study
