Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: People who have sickle cell illness. Asymptomatic and symptomatic cases were confirmed on Hb electrophoresis. Patients admitted with sickle cell crisis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with other hematological pathology. Patients with other hemoglobinopathies. Patients with comorbid conditions. Patients under drug therapy.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
All the results will be calculated using SPSS version 25. Descriptive statistics will be performed on variables.Timepoint: At baseline.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It will estimate HbS & other Hb variants on HPLC in Sickle cell patients & patients with Sickle cell crisis amongst children & adults.Timepoint: 2 years
