Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients of either sex, aged between 18-60 years , belonging to ASA physicsal status I or II scheduled for laproscopic surgeries

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. not meeting inclusion criteria 2. declined to participate 3. other reasons- obese, pregnant , known or predicted difficult airway, reduced lung compliance, mouth opening <2.5 cm, high risk for pulmonary aspiration(non fasted, gastroesophageal reflux disease), cardiovascular comorbidities

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. To determine oropharyngeal seal pressure in baska mask and proseal LMA in patients undergoing laproscopic surgeries. 2. To determine peak airway pressure in baska mask and proseal LMA in patients undergoing laproscopic surgeriesTimepoint: , 1 min after induction (T1), 5 min before carboperitonium (T2), 5 min after carboperitonium (T3), 5 min before re ? moval of carboperitonium (T4), and 5 min after removal of carboperitonium (T5) along with the base ? line (T0) value

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare insertion characterisctics like ease of insertion and time taken for insertion between baska mask and proseal LMATimepoint: It is taken as the time from picking up the device till appearance of a capnograph waveform. The insertion time is the sum of all the attempts taken
