Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Critically Ill patients from 18 - 65 years of age admitted in Intensive Care Unit requiring Central venous cannulation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Morbidly obese patients 2. Contraindications to central venous cannulation ( coagulopathies, thrombosis, local site infection ) 3. Patients in whom head low position is contraindicated 4. Patients with arrythmias or underlying lung diseases. 5. Vertical Depth of Axillary Vein > 4 cm from skin.
