Intervention1: Intense pulsed light 530nm filter: A test patch will be done on left post-auricular area at minimal fluence of 12J/cm2 for phototype 6, 15J/cm2 for phototype 5 and 18J/cm2 for phototype

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age greater than 18 years Grade 2-3 facial acne vulgaris at department of dermatology at tertiary care hospital, who are willing to give informed written consent to participate in study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of photosensitivity History of taking photosensitizing drug Pregnancy Within 1 year post-partum Unable to follow up for IPL sessions

MeasureTime frame
Mean percentage reduction in global acne grading scale (GAGS), absolute lesion count of inflammatory papule and pustules will be calculated and compared on both sides of face i.e. side which is treated with IPL 530nm with topical Tretinoin 0.025% cream and other side which is treated with topical Tretinoin 0.025% cream alone.Timepoint: Outcome will be assessed at each session i.e. at baseline, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 4 months.
