Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: • Age group of 30–55 years • Belonging to both genders • Chronic periodontitis patients • Probing pocket depth =5mm with horizontal bone loss • ASA-PS 1 (American society of anesthesiologist physical status classification) patient
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • Subjects having taken antibiotics prior to or during the trial • Subjects on medication likely to induce gingival enlargement • Pregnant or lactating women • Smokers • Tobacco chewers • Known Allergy to chlorhexidine gluconate and spirulina gel • Patient who have undergone periodontal treatment before 6 months • Medically compromised subjects
