Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: pediatric patients with acyanotic congenital heart diseases posted for cardiac surgery are included. age group selected is from 1 year to 10 years of age. Wight of the patient included in the study is from 5 kilograms to 15 kilograms of body weight.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Bleeding Diathesis. 2) Anomalies, deformities or active infection in spinal column. 3) Allergy to study drug. 4) If any analgesics or sedatives given within 24 hours prior to intervention, then that child should be excluded. 5) Pre-existing neurological deficits. 6) Local site infection. 7) Pre-operative Sepsis. 8) Patients on ventilator support.
