Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.all consented patients of either sex. 2.aged 18-65years. 3.patient belonging to ASA physical status 1 or 2 4.patient posted for elective surgeries requiring general anaesthesia with endotracheal intubation. 5.surgeries lasting 2-3hours.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.patient belonging to ASA physical stauts grade 3 or 4 2.surgeries lasting for more than 3 hours. 3.patients with history of pre operative sore throat . 4.anticipated difficult airway. 5.head and neck surgeries. 6.surgeries requiring prone position. intubation attempts more than 2 hours.
