Intervention1: Methadone (Group M+M): Tab methadone (5mg)twice daily orally, morphine in dose titrated by physician as per pain control, laxatives (if physician prescribes), six month duration Control

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)Patients with cancer pain (any cancer) requiring opioid(morphine) for analgesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Cognitive impairment 2)Patients already on any opioid 3)Psychiatric disease 4)Illicit drug users 5)Hypersensitivity or allergy to study drugs 6)Pregnant
