Intervention1: clomiphene citrate: Clomiphene citrate given orally 25mg, once daily for 3 months. Semen analysis and serum testosterone levels done before starting the drug and after taking drug for 3

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subfertile men with abnormal semen parameters. 2. Couples where female factor infertility has been ruled out. 3. Serum Testosterone level <300ng/dl. 4. Serum FSH/LH between 1.2 -10 IU/L

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: EXCLUSION CRITERIA: 1. Baseline Serum Testosterone > 300 ng/dL. 2. Azoospermia. 3. Men with Hypergonadotropic hypogonadism (FSH >10IU/L, LH >10IU/L). 4. Men with Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism (FSH 1.2 IU/L, LH<1.2IU/L). 5. Not willing to participate. 6. Varicocele has to be ruled out.

To study the effect of clomiphene citrate in improving sperm count in infertile men with oligospermia.Timepoint: Baseline and 12 weeks

MeasureTime frame
To study the pregnancy rates after treatment with clomiphene citrate. 2. To study the effect of clomiphene citrate on progressive motility of sperms. 3. To study the effect of clomiphene citrate on sperm morphology. 4. To study the effect of clomiphene citrate on semen volume. 5. To study the effect of clomiphene citrate on testicular size. 6. To study the effect of clomiphene citrate on serum total testosterone levels.Timepoint: Baseline and 12 weeks
