Intervention1: parental support group: Parents in Intervention arm will be offered 5 sessions of Parent Support group, over 5 months. Control Intervention1: usual counseling group: Parents in Control

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Parents of children with cerebral palsy where the child is between 1.5 s to 7 years of age of Gross Motor Function Classification System level II, III, IV or V.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Parents who are already under any form of therapy (drug or counseling) with department of Psychiatry or alternate forms of medicine for stress, anxiety or depression. Parents not possessing a smart phone.

Among children with cerebral palsy, to compare the change in Child Engagement in Daily Life Measure (Part One: Participation in Family and Recreational Activities) score after 6 months of participation of their parents in a Parent Support Program with that of those whose parents undergo usual counseling. 2. To study the factors associated with a change in the stress domain of the Depression Anxiety and Stress Score 21 (DASS 21). Timepoint: AFTER SIX MONTHS OF INTERVENTION
