Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Subjects requiring individual canine retraction during fixed orthodontic treatment, Patients with a full complement of healthy non- carious permanent teeth, canines and first premolars nearly in good alignment, a treatment plan for extraction of maxillary first premolars.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Debonding of brackets from canines or anchorage teeth, removal of retracting coil springs during treatment, irregular follow ?up visits of patients and patients with asymmetrical arches were excluded from the study. Subjects with congenital enamel defects or hypoplasia of partially erupted teeth, physically or mentally handicapped, and craniofacial syndromes
