Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA grade 1 / grade 2 patients. Patients undergoing elective surgeries under General Anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient not willing to give informed consent. Patients with PVD. Patients with respiratory distress. Increased intra-abdominal pressure. Autonomic nervous system disorders. Mental incompetence. Implanted pacemaker / cardioverter. Obstetric surgeries. Significant valvular disease. IVC not visualised. Patients currently on ARBs or ACE inhibitors.

Compare the diagnostic role of ultrasound measurement of IVC collapsibility index & pulse pressure in predicitng hemodynamic changes during general anaesthesia.Timepoint: 2 years

Find out the incidence of hypotension & its association between IVC derived parameters and percentage decrease in MAP from baseline after induction of general anesthesiaTimepoint: 2 years;Measure sensitivity & specificity of IVC derived parameters and pulse pressure for prediction of post induction hypotension.Timepoint: 2 years
