Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who are undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment Patients whose treatment needed intermaxillary class 2 elastics

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Periodontally compromised patients. Patient allergic to latex Patients having a habit of smoking

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the force degradation of 3/16 latex elastics of group A (American orthodontics elastics) and group B (Ormco elastics) at three intervals.Timepoint: 48 hours

MeasureTime frame
To compare force degradation between the groups.Timepoint: 48 hours
