Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Good general health Irreversible pulpitis of maxillary second premolar characterised by spontaneous pain, pain elicited by temperature changes, positive response to cold test Radiographic findings which include carious lesion superimposing on the pulp with or without periapical rarefaction not exceeding 2mm.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnancy or patients with systemic conditions, Unrestorable teeth, Immature teeth, Teeth with symptoms of reversible pulpitis, Teeth unresponsive to cold testing, Presence of sinus tracts or swelling, periapical rarefaction of more than 2mm diameter.
